Raghav Chadha’s Removal Sparks Political Clash as BJP Targets AAP Amid Internal Rift Buzz…

Date:

New Delhi: A major political controversy has erupted following the removal of Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha, with the development triggering sharp reactions and intensifying the political narrative in the national capital.

Raghav Chadha, a prominent face of the party and a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Punjab, was recently replaced by fellow MP Ashok Mittal in what the party described as an internal decision. However, the move has quickly snowballed into a larger political issue, with opposition parties alleging deeper internal discord within AAP.

The decision has fueled widespread speculation about internal rifts within the party, as multiple leaders publicly commented on the situation and questioned Chadha’s role and conduct.

Reacting strongly to the development, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on AAP leadership, particularly targeting party chief Arvind Kejriwal. He termed the development as part of a “use and throw” culture, alleging that leaders are sidelined after being utilized for political gains.

Chugh cited several former prominent leaders including Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Shazia Ilmi, and Kiran Bedi, questioning their absence from the party today. He also referred to Swati Maliwal, raising concerns over what he described as a consistent pattern of leaders distancing themselves from AAP.

“People who once stood at the core of the party are no longer visible, which reflects a deeper issue within the leadership structure,” he asserted, intensifying the political attack.

Meanwhile, developments within AAP indicate growing friction. Party leaders have defended the decision, calling it part of routine functioning and discipline. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that those who deviate from the party line must face consequences, suggesting that the move was linked to internal alignment issues.

At the same time, some leaders accused Chadha of focusing on “soft issues” rather than aggressively raising political concerns, pointing to dissatisfaction within party ranks.

Raghav Chadha himself broke his silence after the removal, stating that he has been “silenced, not defeated,” and questioned whether raising public issues in Parliament had led to consequences. His remarks have further added to the perception of internal tension and power struggle within the party.

The controversy has also gained traction on social media, with political observers and supporters debating whether the development reflects a strategic reshuffle or a deeper leadership crisis.

At the heart of the issue lies a larger question about internal democracy, leadership control, and the evolving structure of the Aam Aadmi Party. While the party maintains that the move is routine, the intensity of reactions from both within and outside suggests otherwise. As political exchanges sharpen, the coming days are expected to bring further statements, clarifications, and counter-allegations. The removal of Raghav Chadha has not only raised questions about individual roles but has also opened a broader debate on party cohesion and leadership dynamics.

For now, the issue remains a key flashpoint in national politics, reflecting both internal challenges within AAP and the larger political battle unfolding around it.
