Arunachal Pradesh Charts Strong Economic Growth Path as GSDP Set to Cross ₹50,000 Crore Mark !!!

Itanagar, (Arunachal Pradesh) ,India : Arunachal Pradesh is witnessing a remarkable phase of economic expansion, with its Gross State Domestic Product projected to register a substantial increase in the upcoming financial year. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein announced that the state’s GSDP is expected to rise from ₹41,314 crore in 2025–26 to an impressive ₹50,651 crore in 2026–27.

This projected surge reflects not only the strength of the state’s economic framework but also the sustained momentum achieved through focused governance and strategic investments. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the steady growth trajectory highlights improving fiscal health and the success of development-oriented policies.

“The state’s GSDP continues to reflect a strong and steady growth trajectory. For the financial year 2025–26, it stood at ₹41,314 crore. As per the latest communication received from the Union Ministry of Finance, the GSDP for the current financial year is projected to rise to ₹50,651 crore,” he stated.

The sharp rise in economic output underscores the impact of prudent fiscal management and continuous investments in infrastructure and key sectors. The government’s approach has been centered on strengthening the economic base while ensuring long-term sustainability.

Chowna Mein highlighted that the growth is a result of disciplined financial planning, improved governance mechanisms, and targeted development initiatives. He noted that enhanced capital expenditure, better resource mobilisation, and efficient tax administration have collectively played a crucial role in driving this upward trend.

“This significant increase underscores the effectiveness of our development policies, improved fiscal management, and the sustained momentum across key sectors of the economy,” he said, pointing to the consistent efforts made to build a resilient economic structure.

The Deputy Chief Minister further stressed the importance of inclusive growth, asserting that economic progress must translate into real benefits for the people.
