Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya said that the ‘Sunday Cycling’ initiative is rapidly growing into a nationwide movement, encouraging citizens, especially youth, to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Speaking in Delhi, Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted that the movement has gained momentum across the country, with increasing participation from young people. He credited the inspiration behind this initiative to Narendra Modi and his emphasis on fitness through the ‘Fit India’ campaign.
He stated that the ‘Fit India’ message is not just a slogan but a necessity for building a developed nation.
Mandaviya emphasized that physical fitness plays a crucial role in national development. According to him, a healthy population contributes to a stronger and more productive society, which in turn leads to overall prosperity.
He said that “healthy citizens build a healthy society, and a healthy society creates a prosperous nation,” underlining the importance of fitness at both individual and national levels.
The minister also called upon people to actively participate in the cycling movement and spread awareness about fitness. He encouraged citizens to adopt regular physical activities such as cycling as part of their daily routine.
He urged everyone to join the movement, promote fitness awareness, and contribute towards the vision of a developed India.
